What is Stratos ?
Stratos Cloud Backup is a complete automated data backup solution that creates reliable backup and recovery in the event of data loss through ransomware, system failures and other unexpected incidents.

Why do I need cloud backup ?
The Microsoft and Google cloud environments only provide the ability to restore data for 30 days and in the event of a Ransomware attack, no data recovery may be available.
The need for physical onsite hardware storage is reduced along with the associated costs.
It is the vital component of any organisation’s Disaster Recovery/Cyber Security plan ensuring continuity and minimising downtime.

When applying for Cyber Essentials Certification or customer contracts (especially Government contracts), there is a requirement that your onsite data and cloud hosted data has adequate backup and retention, which Stratos provides.

Is Stratos Cloud Backup secure ?
Stratos is based at Stellium the UK’s largest purpose-built data centre based in the North East.  The facility has dedicated connectivity, which is highly secure and extremely fast, resilient power, fire detection, 247 Security and ISO 27001 Information Security Standards Accreditation.
The data backup itself is protected by built-in deduplication, integrity checks, compression, and versioning.

Can I access my Cloud Backup ?
Yes, you own your data. A portal is available with multi-authentication login protection, allowing you view your data in Stratos on a 24/7 basis. 
Restore of full systems, files and data is straightforward.  We can handle this for you or provide you the option to restore through the portal.

 

How often is data backed up and retained ?
                Once a full backup has been completed, the data is backed up on a continuous basis. 
                The retention period can be customised to suit your own specific requirements, with data being kept as long as needed for your own compliance/regulatory needs.
